Rough Rough Draft

How effective has dialysis been since it has been invented? How long will dialysis help a patient with kidney failure? Dialysis did begin in 1945. It was invented by three doctors. Dr John J Aber, Dr Leonard C. Rowntree and Dr D.B Turner. They began their experiment with dogs and other animals and it was a total success. According to a newspaper written February 5 (1994) the dialysis purposes is used to “perform the blood purifying function in which the diseased natural kidney fails.” It is such a great invention for so many people who need kidney transplant and end up in a waiting list.

According to kidney.org it is said “Kidneys can become damaged from a physical injury or a disease like diabetes, high blood pressure, or other disorders.” Many factors are a cause for kidney failure but it is hard to replace a kidney. Many people that need a transplant have to wait months until a match is found. This is where dialysis comes in. Kindney.org also states that “average life expectancy on dialysis is 5–10 years, however, many patients have lived well on dialysis for 20 or even 30 years.” This has been a great invention and has given so many people time and hope. Hope that they will be able to wait for a kidney while being on dialysis.

People that can’t be on dialysis for many years have a really bad condition which will be needing treatment very soon. It is a good thing dialysis has given opportunity and hope. It is amazing that doctors in 1945 created an amazing creation.

I actually need to get many ideas straight for my final draft. I could use all the criticism and help/examples.

Thank You
